Media Planning Campaign

We have been working with Guinness World Records (GWR) for a number of years, planning and buying their pre-Christmas sales campaigns.

This year Guinness World Records wanted to bring forward sales prior to a crucial key retailer restocking date. The dilemma was to sustain interest for this Christmas product over a sustained period, and also balance a campaign that targeted parents and other gifters as well as kids themselves. We planned across major National Print titles including The Times, Telegraph and Daily Mail and Metro with high impact ad units.   

The campaign kicked off with a prestigious solus front page banner ad in the Metro Newspaper across the UK nationally that has huge exposure beyond the actual reader.

Phase one OOH used landmark digital sites across the UK in locations such as Shepherds Bush. These giant screens give the impact that does GWR creative justice.  Phase two was more targeted and used Mall digital 6’s in the run up to Christmas to influence shoppers close to the point of purchase.

Some fantastic press placements and high impact strategic digital sites ensured healthy sales in the face of ever increasing competition. The large format units really brought the brand to life and completely new audiences were reached.
