Paolo Nutini

Orchard and Paolo Nutini

Orchard Entertainment is proud to have worked with Scottish superstar Paolo Nutini and his representatives at Wild Dog Management since October 2009, when we promoted our first ever show with the then-22 year old singer-songwriter at the beautiful Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay. Playing in support of his first #1 album ‘Sunny Side Up’, Paolo performed an electric set to a sell-out crowd within the majestic grandeur of the Donald Gordon Theatre at the Wales Millennium Centre.

By 2011 Paolo Nutini was firmly established as a global superstar, with multi-million album sales and a slew of awards, including the prestigious Ivor Novello Award for Best Album, to his name. Orchard brought Paolo back to Wales in June 2011, this time heading west to Aberystwyth Arts Centre for a special intimate warm-up show ahead of his monumental headline performance at Rockness festival later that summer.

Orchard secured a date at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena as part of what was Paolo’s biggest UK Arena Tour to date for the 31st October 2014, but illness struck and the show was rescheduled for January 2015. Again a sell-out show, Nutini cemented his reputation for blistering, crowd rousing live performances with a set that electrified the Capital city audience.

On the 20th of June 2015, 12,000 packed in to Singleton Park in Swansea for Paolo’s largest show in Wales so far. Tickets for the show flew out of the door with Paolo at the top of his game; his acclaimed third album Caustic Love having gone straight in at Number 1, quickly reached platinum status and was one of the biggest selling records in 2015 in the UK, cementing his place as one of the country’s leading artists.

The sudden passing of one of his fans, Bevlee Jones from Newport, in March 2016 saw Paolo Nutini respond personally to Miss Jones’ 13-year-old son Ieuan, who made a plea for Paolo to perform at his Mother’s funeral.

Although unable to attend due to prior commitments, Paolo instead committed to performing a special tribute show in Bevlee and Ieuan’s hometown, at the 2,000 capacity Newport Centre on the 20th of July.

In what was his only UK show of 2016, the singer ran through his many hits at the emotionally-charged concert, and donated all profits from the show to a trust fund set up for Ieuan’s future.

Orchard Entertainment were honoured to play a part in staging this special concert, and assisting Paolo Nutini and Wild Dog Management in raising thousands of pounds for a good cause.
