As we ring in the new year, our 2-year partnership with homeless charity, Huggard, has come to an end.
However, we are delighted to announce our new charity partner for 2019, the Mental Health Foundation.
The Mental Health Foundation’s vision is ‘for a world with good mental health for all.' They aim to help people to thrive through understanding, protecting and sustaining their mental health.
Jenny Burns, Mental Health Foundation’s Programme Lead for Wales said on the partnership:
“An individual’s mental wellbeing is crucial and can affect their path through life- their work, relationships, family- everything. Mental illness doesn’t discriminate and it’s great that people are talking more about it but there’s still a lot to be done to tackle the issues.
Our work concentrates on preventing mental ill-health and supporting people to learn about mental wellbeing and to build their resilience.
We’re really excited to be working with Orchard. Their knowledge and experience will help us promote our work in new ways to help support more people in Wales, which is the ultimate goal.”
Tim Powell, Director at Orchard said:
“After a hugely successful two-year partnership with Huggard the homeless charity, we know that we can make a real, positive difference outside of our day-to-day work. We’re excited to begin work with the Mental Health Foundation because we know first-hand that the creative industries is a fast-paced, often pressured environment."
Mental Health is a prevalent factor within society, and is only increasing, so we hope that our partnership will help tackle the issues facing mental health in whatever way we can help.
We’re so excited for this partnership, and have plenty of exciting plans in the pipeline, so stay tuned.
