Wow, our feet barely touch the ground here at Orchard HQ! Blink and the longest month of the year has gone… but as busy as we are, we love shouting about some of the great things Team O achieve.
December was the time of festivities, and we were proud again to work with Cardiff Winter Wonderland and Swansea’s Waterfront Winterland, the epitome of Christmas feels. The campaign smashed records with a reach of over 1,706K so our Comms team are already pumped to see what’s to come next Christmas.
And then it was Happy New Year! Early in January, our Media team dedicated themselves to securing the biggest screen in Europe, Piccadilly Lights, for Visit Wales’ latest tourism campaign, which launched on Boxing Day. With the perfect strategy to showcase the calmness and serenity that Wales offers amidst the busiest circle in Europe, the campaign truly stood out to project the essence of Wales and met the campaign goals spot on.
We’re proud to continue partnering up with Size of Wales again this year to advance our efforts to preserve forest in Wales and make it the First Nation to be deforestation free. The journey with them in the last year has helped us become more sustainable and conscious, something we’re proud to share with our clients and community.
Our Content team shot the latest series- Skin Deep, for Channel 4’s Snapchat channel. From some very interesting interviews to some juicy gossip, the series is packed with excitement, and may we say some beautiful shots – go check it out if you haven’t, it’s going viral!
January has been a busy month for the Content team, as they have been busy with shooting for an engaging campaign for Hachette– Oh! The content so far looks class! Can’t wait to share more details with you soon.
In other news, we are so proud to say that this January, we undertook training on neurodiversity and its impact in a workplace, and we are now officially a Disability confident employer. This is such a positive step for us as we can now confidently employ and provide a safe environment to everybody and truly create a diverse working environment for everyone to thrive.
And on the horizon is Dydd Miwsig Cymru/ Welsh Language Music Day. Nothing gives us more pride than representing Wales and the Welsh language, we can’t wait for the 9th of Feb when it all takes shape. If you’re a Welsh music lover or would love to explore some of the best music there is, check out the website for all the info you need, here.
And finally, three new members joined us this month: Layla Howells in the Finance team, Loren Coad in our Creative team and Sarah Mason as our new Group Strategy Director; we welcome you to Team O and look forward to getting to know you!
