Tafwyl Music Festival is one of the largest celebrations of Welsh-language music and culture in Wales. First held in 2006, it has grown from a community-focused event into a major city festival, attracting thousands of visitors each year.

Orchard has been working with Menter Caerdydd and S4C for nearly ten years filming the festival for TV broadcast and social media channels.
Our content team film produces two programmes with highlights of the day and the headline acts streamed online and live on S4C. They also capture content throughout the festival which they upload to YouTube.
It takes several months to prepare and a team of over 100 people including multiple camera people, sound operators, editors, lighting people, riggers, the live graphics team, a company looking after health and safety, and an artist liaison.
With two outside broadcast units and several crews filming all day, it’s a logistical challenge but one that contributes to the culture of Cardiff and Wales.
