October has been an exciting month here at Orchard – we are now officially Employee Owned! Orchard is now in the hands of our talented team through an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), and we are, as always, committed to constantly pushing for greatness and making Orchard the space to flourish.
Our teams hit the ground running this month, capturing incredible campaigns for Vitalin and G Fresh, running events up and down the country from Cardiff to Llandudno and providing advanced live streaming to hundreds of online attendees!
Our Events and Experiences team brought excitement and engagement to various events, kicking things off at the Cardiff Half Marathon with Principality Building Society. Our team worked closely with their campaign messaging to create a vibrant and enjoyable space for the runners. Participants had the chance to win Oasis tickets and deposit vouchers through the fun “Stop the Clock” game, adding an extra layer of excitement to the race.
The momentum continued as the team also organised a memorable event for the BBC to celebrate the 50th birthday of the beloved show ‘Pobol y Cwm’ – a fantastic opportunity to honour the Welsh show;
We also played a pivotal role in the annual conference for Health and Research Wales, hosting 350 delegates while live-streaming the event for remote attendees – a great way to connect with a wider audience and share valuable insights, and hosted a live-stream launch for a new app for Swim Wales right here at our studio in Orchard HQ. This event showcased our commitment to innovation and community engagement.
In collaboration with our Events team, our PR team played a crucial role in the successful launch of the award-winning multi-sport learning platform, Sport Passport, featuring its innovative version 2.0 software. We implemented a comprehensive strategy that included a targeted email marketing campaign designed to engage the audience and highlight the platform’s enhanced features. The team also led on media relations, securing national coverage that showcased the product’s impact. This integrated approach not only significantly increased Sport Passport’s visibility but also solidified its reputation as a leader in the multi-sport education sector in Wales.
As Winter sets in, our communications team have been crafting an exciting campaign for G’s Fresh LTD. Their campaign is all about celery, perfectly timed for those hot soups and steamy stews to add a pop of flavour this season. Throughout November, keep an eye out for the French-inspired artwork rolling out across 7 areas of the UK in static and digital OOH advertisements.
We also kicked off a dynamic media campaign for the beloved pet food brand, Vitalin! With a mix of engaging strategies, we aimed to capture the attention of pet owners and drive sales for this fantastic product. Our campaign features a targeted TV advert that’s currently making waves, showcasing the wholesome goodness of Vitalin. But that’s not all! We also rolled out an eye-catching Out of Home (OOH) advertising initiative, placing vibrant ads right outside select Sainsbury’s stores where Vitalin has recently launched. One of the highlights of our OOH campaign is a spectacular special build billboard in London. Picture this: a playful 3D dog carrying a branch, designed to bring a smile to passersby and create a memorable experience. It’s a fun piece of content that truly stands out.
And finally, our Sponsorships & Partnerships team also welcomed new partnerships with Super Rygbi Cymru, as we were appointed the sponsorship agency by 9 Welsh RFC’s including Swansea, Newport and Bridgend.
What a month to kick start our new EOT chapter!
