How quickly February has gone by at Orchard HQ! It has been full of wet and windy weather; but as always, fantastic achievements from the team.

The highlight of the month was undoubtedly our vibrant celebration of Dydd Miwsig Cymru on February 9th, crafted by our Communications team. The campaign, featuring a Welsh-language karaoke booth touring Wales, ignited a newfound passion for Welsh music. Their engaging social media content further fuelled conversations about Welsh tunes across various digital platforms. The team had a great time embracing their Cymreictod (Welshness) and the content generated record numbers on reach and engagement.

Speaking of Content, our Content team have been hard at work meticulously planning a shoot for our Guinness World Record attempt for the longest Tug of War, with Scott Quinnell and Elinor Snowsill leading the charge. We can’t wait to hear the result in March – fingers crossed!

Our Content team wrapped up shooting for S4C’s latest series, prioritising sustainability throughout. From using electric cars, reusable cups to choosing Pale Hall with self-contained heating system to reduce emission, Orchard is heading towards sustainability one step at a time.

On the administrative front, we were proud to gain a licence to legally qualify as a Licensed Visa Sponsor for Creative and Skilled Workers, which means we can employ creative talent from anywhere in the world, allowing us to work with the best of the international skills pool. We look forward to what the future holds at Team O!

Finally, our commitment to supporting the next generation of talent saw Team O visit two Uni’s during Feb. Our participation in the Creative Industries Careers & Networking Fair at the University of South Wales was a standout moment, providing us with the opportunity to connect with emerging talent and explore future relationships for potential internship and job opportunities with us.

Our Head of Campaigns and PR, Jess, seized the opportunity as a panel speaker at Cardiff School of Journalism, Media, and Culture to share her expertise with the next generation of talent and offered valuable insights to aspiring communicators. Da iawn, Jess!

As we wrap up February, we’re pumped for Dydd Gŵyl Dewi, more World Record Attempts and some exciting activations across the country during March.
