July has been the most exciting month at Orchard….. Why do you ask? Because it’s Tafwyl month! We were thrilled to join forces once again with Tafwyl from filming and Production, to collaborating with S4C, we love being part of this partnership and seeing the festival grow year on year. Bring on 2025! In case you missed it on S4C, catch it here.

The annual Royal Welsh Show is a fantastic event to showcase our Exhibitions teams’ outdoor event work, and this year was no exception. Collaborating with the likes of the Welsh Assembly Government, Forestry Commission, Welsh Water, The Sustainability Cluster, Menter a Busnes and ITV this year, it was great to see their exhibition stands come to life and elevate their brand presence at the Show– from initial ad concept and design, through to creative and build.

In other exciting client news, we are thrilled to be working once again with one of Wales’ most iconic venues, Canolfan Mileniwm Cymru | Wales Millennium Centre, and its associated charities, providing a range of support services as they celebrate their 20th anniversary year – including Sponsorship and Commercial Partnership support, as well as Events & Creative solutions.

If you’re an aspiring PR expert, or even a client who sometimes feels lost when agencies throw out big words, check out our jargon busting PR Dictionary. Say goodbye to intimidating jargon as we make it easier for you to navigate and understand communications terminology.

To keep up with the unprecedented growth of AI and the latest technology developments, our team attended an insightful day at The Agency AI Conference, The Robots are Coming hosted by Agency Hackers.

Packed full of new AI tools, learnings, and practical ways of how AI can advance the creative industries, we came away from the event inspired with loads of new ideas and confidence in how we can grow and adopt AI to help us work smarter, not harder. We can’t wait to start taking advantage of these tools and work with you on even more creative campaigns. Watch this AI space!

We joined CIM Wales for a one-day deep-dive into the world of branding at their CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing branding forum event, featuring a brilliant line-up of prominent practitioners and branding experts like, Jo Lilford, Gethin Jones, Nathan Harrington PGDip MCIM, Anna Lewis, Simon Rowe, Andy Rudd, Tom Lloyd and Katie Dulake who shared their experiences and knowledge. As headline sponsors of the event, it was great to be part of the ongoing dialogue.

Proud to be a Real Living Wage employer, we attended the Real Living Wage Foundation Champions Award Ceremony earlier in the month. Celebrating incredible individuals who have dedicated themselves to championing the Real Living Wage, and working to ensure people are paid fairly, it was inspiring to see how the winners and all the attendees are committed to making a meaningful difference to the lives of thousands across the UK every single day.

July also saw us trade our office desks for comfy chairs and a good book, as we held our inaugural meeting of Orchard’s Book Club at local wine bar, Nighthawks. Please share any great book recommendations that you have for our next meeting!
